Social listening and competitor tracking
Watch what competitors publish and what people say about you - and see plainly which platforms can be watched and which cannot.
It never shows a number nobody measured
Follower counts, impressions and reach are simply not obtainable for an account you do not own on most networks. A tool that shows a zero there has turned we could not measure this into this is zero, and that zero then flows into every chart built on top of it.
SocialPro labels those metrics unavailable and gives the platform's own reason. What is measured is measured; what is not says so.
What each network actually permits
Instagram competitor data and hashtag listening run through your own connected Instagram Business account, which is the only route Meta permits. X public search reaches about seven days. YouTube's Data API serves any public channel. LinkedIn exposes no API for another organisation's page, so nothing is collected there - and the page says so rather than showing an empty chart.
Coverage is social platforms only. News, blogs, forums and press are not searched, and the product states that limit instead of leaving it to be discovered when a mention never arrives.
Trends mean change, not popularity
A topic with four hundred mentions that had four hundred last week is not a trend. One with thirty that had four is. Scoring is built on movement against your own baseline, and a topic with no prior period reports no growth rather than an infinite one.
- Competitor posting cadence, formats and engagement where the platform reports it
- Mention tracking with sentiment and buying-intent signals
- Alerts described in plain language and previewed before they are saved
- An explanation under any alert that has not fired, saying whether it cannot or simply has not yet
See it on your own accounts
Connect a channel and publish something. That is a shorter route to knowing whether this fits than any amount of reading.
